The Queensland Government has a Business Basics Grant Program providing funding for small QLD businesses to help grow by getting professional business advice, implementing strategic marketing services, and by getting a new website built, or an existing website upgraded.
SMG have helped small QLD businesses in previous years to submit successful applications for funding, and we are offering limited places to help again for this current round of funding which provides successful applicants $7,500 towards their business improvement and growth activities.
Have you been wanting to upgrade your website, but haven’t had the budget available? Or perhaps you are ready to generate more sales/enquiries through your website but you’re not sure where to start? This grant is a great opportunity to receive some funding to kickstart your online growth strategy, and SMG can help you put your best foot forward.
So, how can you apply?
The first step is to check your eligibility for the grant program. To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- have less than 5 employees
- be operating and have an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
- have a registered Queensland headquarters location (as per your Australian Business Register (ABR) record)
- have a minimum trading history of 1 year
- a maximum turnover of $300,000 for the last financial year (2023/24)
- not have been approved for funding under an earlier Business Basics round
- not be insolvent or have owners/directors that are undischarged or currently bankrupt
You can use the eligibility checker here.
The next step is to register your interest with the Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training for the grant funding here.
Finally, let us know if you have been selected to submit a full application. SMG will be able to help you with your application to receive the $7,500 grant.
You only have until this Friday the 11th of October to register your interest for the grant, so don’t miss this opportunity to apply for $7,500 to put towards growing your business online.
More information about the grant can be found here.
Best of luck!
